This intermediate-level commentary includes an introduction to the author and the work, the Latin text, vocabulary, and notes for John Lawrence’s “Oratio” delivered in Philadelphia in 1768. It was created by P. Brucia Breitenfeld as a project for the Postclassical Latin course at Haverford College in the spring of 2017 under the guidance of Prof. Mulligan.
